Basement Jaxx have contributed a dark, dubsteppy number to the ‘Attack the Block’ soundtrack and it’s pretty dope! It’s hardly a surprise that they’d venture into this musical territory, seeing as it’s the flavour of the month (read: year? decade?). What is surprising is how good it is. Actually, that’s bullshit. It’s not a surprise. BJ (haha you said BJ!) have more than proven themselves as a heavy production duo. Remember Jump & Shout? I rinsed the fuck out of this track back in ‘99! I’d never seen the vid for it until today though. Well worth a watch! And peep the trailer for Attack the Block too while you’re at it!
